MCI – How to qualify & tests

IBERIAN HORSE DRESSAGE MASTERS (MCI GB) comprises a number of different levels from Young Horse classes up to Grand Prix. To qualify, each combination must be a member of the IDM and must compete a minimum of 3 times on different dates although this can be at the same venue.

Please note:

  • Young horse tests are to be ridden in rising trot, all other tests are to be ridden sitting trot.
  • Malaga and Evora are NOT qualifiers for the final, they are practice tests.
  • The MALAGA test is for horses of 6 years old and over and first time riders to commence in dressage competitions.
  • EVORA is a transition between SEVILLA and LISBOA to allow competitors to progress with collection of the horse more gradually.

  • GOLEGA & SEVILLA – More than 63%
  • LISBOA – More than 62%
  • MADRID – More than 60%
  • MAGISTRALE & REYALE – More than 59%
  • FREESTYLE CARMENCITA – More than 64%
  • FREESTYLES: FLAMENCA, LUSITANIA & IBERICA – More than 65%
