MCI – How to qualify & tests

IBERIAN HORSE DRESSAGE MASTERS (MCI GB) comprises a number of different levels from Young Horse classes up to Grand Prix. To qualify, each combination must be a member of the IDM and must achieve a minimum of 3 scores plus 1 score at the relevant freestyle. These scores can be obtained at the same venue but must be on different dates:

10 tests of classical dressage and 4 Freestyle to Music as follows:

Please note:

  • Young horse tests are to be ridden in rising trot, all other tests are to be ridden sitting trot.
  • Malaga and Evora are NOT qualifiers for the final, they are practice tests.
  • The MALAGA test is for horses of 6 years old and over and first time riders to commence in dressage competitions.
  • EVORA is a transition between SEVILLA and LISBOA to allow competitors to progress with collection of the horse more gradually.
